Community Teaching Plan Teaching Experience Paper

It is critical to think about one’s teaching while a teacher in order to be successful. This may include taping lessons, having a coworker observe you, asking for assistance with an issue or coming up with new methods to teach a subject. I’ve attempted to be a reflective student while student teaching and intend to keep working on it as a teacher.

After each lesson, I take time to think about what went well and what I could have done better. This allows me to grow as an educator and prevent making the same mistakes.

One of my philosophies of education is that all students can learn. Each student comes into the classroom with different backgrounds, experiences and knowledge. It is my job, as the teacher, to figure out how each student learns best and what I can do to help them learn the content. This is not always easy, but it is important to try different strategies until you find one that works.

I think it is also important for educators to be lifelong learners. We should never stop learning and growing in our profession. There are always new technologies, strategies and resources being developed and it is our job to keep up with these changes. We can do this by attending workshops, reading professional journals and talking to other teachers.

Reflecting on my own teaching experiences, I have found that I am most successful when I am able to build relationships with my students. When they trust me and feel comfortable in the classroom, they are more likely to take risks and try new things. I also think it is important to create a positive learning environment where students feel safe to make mistakes. This means having a well-organized classroom, clear expectations and a consistent routine.

I am constantly trying to improve my teaching so that I can provide my students with the best education possible. I believe that by reflecting on my teaching, being a lifelong learner and building positive relationships with my students, I can be the best teacher I can be.

The Peanut Butter and Jelly dance is an activity that I did with my class. This lesson took around 35-40 minutes to set up. I began by giving the children some information on what we were going to do. After that, I provided some context about the topic.

This is what I said: “Today we are going to be learning about the Peanut Butter and Jelly dance. This dance is a lot of fun, and it’s also a great way to get some exercise. I’m sure you all have seen the video of the little girl dancing with the peanut butter and jelly sandwich on her head. Well, we’re going to be doing something similar, but with a partner. So find a partner and line up.”

After I explained what we were going to be doing, I had the students line up with their partners. Once they were lined up, I demonstrated the dance for them. I showed them how to do the steps and told them which arm goes where. After I demonstrated the dance, I had the students practice it with their partners. They did a great job and they all seemed to be having a lot of fun.

This activity was a great way to get the students up and moving, and it was also a great opportunity for them to work on their social skills. Working with a partner can sometimes be challenging, but it’s important to learn how to communicate and cooperate with others. I was very impressed with how well the students did with this activity, and I will definitely be using it again in the future.

I attempted to elicit prior knowledge from the pupils by creating a KWL chart with the kids on where peanut butter and jelly comes from. In carrying out this activity, I wanted to make sure that the language used was appropriate for the age group and that the information wasn’t too difficult or easy for them. So I did my homework and everything turned out well in the end.

My students are at the age where prior knowledge is essential in order for new information to be stored in their long-term memory. So, in order for them to understand the concept of photosynthesis, I used a KWL chart. I started off by having them list what they knew about plants. We then listed what we wanted to know about plants. After that, we went on a plant scavenger hunt around the school. The children were so excited to find out more about plants and how they functioned.

It’s important to make sure that the content being taught is appropriate for the students’ age group. If the content is too difficult, the students will become frustrated and may not want to learn anymore. On the other hand, if the content is too easy, the students will become bored and may also not want to learn anymore. Therefore, it’s important to find a balance when planning lessons.

I also wanted to make sure that the students were engaged in the lesson. I used a lot of hands-on activities and tried to make the lesson as interactive as possible. For example, when teaching the concept of photosynthesis, we made paper flowers and watched a video on how plants produce their own food. The students were really engaged in the lesson and they enjoyed it.

I think it’s important for teachers to have knowledge in educational psychology because it helps them understand how students learn best. With this knowledge, teachers can plan lessons that are more effective and that will help students learn better. Educational psychology also helps teachers understand the different stages of development that students go through and how to best cater to each stage.

Overall, I think my teaching experience has been good. I’ve been able to use my knowledge in educational psychology to plan lessons that are effective and engaging for my students. I’ve also learned a lot about how to manage a classroom and how to deal with different situations that may arise. Teaching is a challenging but rewarding career, and I’m glad I chose it.
