First Day Of Middle School Essay

On my first day of middle school, I met one of my best friends in front of the school. She had a funny look on her face–not her usual big smile and big brown eyes, but instead she looked scared. When I gave her a hug, she just stood there stiffly and pointed at her throat. Then she fell to the ground right in front of me, gasping for breath and looking up at the ceiling.

I yelled for help and the police came rushing in and took her away on a stretcher. It was the scariest moment of my life. From then on, I was always extra careful with my friends, making sure to keep an eye on them at all times. Police officers are always lurking around our school, so we have to be vigilant. Even though it’s scary, I feel safer knowing they’re there.

I was panic-stricken, as was everyone else in the room, when a small child choked and began gasping for air. Suddenly, a tall man in a black uniform appeared and knelt down to help her. He listened for signs of breathing and then quickly took action to save her life.

According to my career assessment, I am enterprising (full of energy and enthusiasm), realistic (able to see things as they really are), and social (outgoing and enjoys working with others). Based on these characteristics, some careers that would be good matches for me include chef, professional athlete, or skincare specialist.

I usually don’t like school and I don’t like getting up early but today was different, it was my first day of middle school. Police came to our school and we thought that something bad had happened but it turned out to be a drill. We all went into the auditorium and the principal made a speech about how middle school is different from elementary school and how we have to be more responsible.

After the assembly, we went to our first-period class. I had science with Mrs. Nguyen. She’s really nice and she told us about the different projects we’re going to do this year. I’m really looking forward to it. Next, was English with Ms. Davis. We read a poem and then we had to write our own. I’m not very good at writing but I tried my best. After English, was lunch. I sat with my friends from elementary school and we talked about our classes. We all agreed that middle school is going to be great.

Growing up being one of the oldest in my family has pushed me to be overprotective with regard to two younger sisters and several younger cousins. Playing sports such as football, track, and wrestling will aid me in my legal profession since law enforcement is a physically and mentally demanding job that requires both physical and mental toughness to maintain up and strive in.

When I arrived at my new school it was a bit overwhelming, there were so many students and the building seemed so big. Police officers were posted up everywhere and that made me feel a little better, like they had everything under control. I walked into my first period class and sat down at an empty seat next to a girl who looked just as lost as I felt.

We struck up a conversation and found out that we had a lot in common, she was also new to the school. The teacher walked in and started passing out our syllabus and explaining what we would be learning throughout the year. Middle school is definitely going to be a challenge, but with the help of my new friend I think I can make it through just fine.

My first day of middle school was pretty uneventful. I got up early, ate breakfast, and then caught the bus to school. When I got to school, I went to my locker and then to my first class. The day went by quickly and before I knew it, it was time to go home.

As I was leaving school, I saw a group of police officers talking to a group of students. I wasn’t sure what was going on, but it looked like the police were giving the students a stern talking to. I wondered if there had been some sort of trouble at school that I hadn’t heard about. But, overall, my first day of middle school was pretty uneventful.

Police officers are presently in greatest demand in high-crime regions with a large number of civilians compared to law enforcement personnel. This implies that the most populous cities, including Atlanta, Los Angeles, and Chicago, will be policed by cops. This is beneficial to me since I already reside near Atlanta, making it easy for me to pursue this profession at home. More males than females work in this line of work.

Police officers have one of the most dangerous jobs. Police officers are at a high risk for violence and death on duty. They also have to deal with traffic, drunk drivers, and people under the influence of drugs. Police officers need to be able to handle themselves in any situation while still being respectful and professional.

This was my first thought when I woke up this morning, my first day of middle school. I had butterflies in my stomach and I felt like I was going to vomit. It was 5:00 a.m., much too early for me to be awake, but I had to get ready for school. I took a shower, brushed my teeth, and got dressed. Then I ate breakfast and tried to calm myself down.
