My mother has always driven me to school in the morning since I started elementary school. The moving from Brien McMahon high school to another institution, Norwalk High School, was a big adjustment for me. It was interesting while being difficult at times. Getting to school on time and arriving on time for class were two of my issues. Because I was late or missed first period, my grade suffered significantly, therefore I asked my mom if she could pick me up at 8:00 a.m. every day.

The good thing about going to a new school is you get to meet new friends and people. The first day of high school was pretty hectic, I didn’t know where my classes were and I had to ask a lot of people for help. High school is way different then middle school, the workload is a lot more and the teachers expect more from you.

One of my favorite things about high school was homecoming week, all the girls would dress up in matching outfits and all the guys would wear suits.

It was much easier for me to get up and ready for school when she came to pick me up. My attendance has also improved since I started doing that. During the academic year, I had a lot of problems keeping up with my homework and finishing projects on time. I was getting tired of receiving poor grades one day, so I decided to ask my mom for help. She was more than happy to offer her assistance, and she’s been doing so ever since.

I also became friends with people in my grade and I got to know more about them. In High School I was able to learn more about what I wanted to do when I grow up. My High School experience was great it taught me a lot about myself.

High school can be a tough time for students. There is a lot of pressure to do well academically and socially. High school can also be a time when students discover more about who they are and what they want to do in life. For me, high school was a time of self-discovery. I learned more about my strengths and weaknesses and what type of person I wanted to be. High school was also a time when I made some great friends that I still keep in touch with today. Overall, my high school experience was positive and I am grateful for the lessons I learned during that time.

I used to stay after school and seek suggestions or advise for my project. Staying after school provided me with a boost of confidence in myself and my work. I had transferred from Brien McMahon High School the previous year. The first week was terrible because I didn’t know anybody there, making class quite tedious. Gym class the next week was when a group of kids that used to play on my basketball team recognized me and made me feel welcome to the institutionn

From then on I had a great High school experience. I made new friends, good grades, and was always involved in something. High school for me was a time to grow as person and to develop new relationships.
