Reflective Essay Examples High School

I’m nearing the end of my senior year and it’s a little bit bitter sweet. On one hand, I am ecstatic to be finished with high school and ready to move on with my life. But on the other hand, I am frightened that soon I will be independent and must rely on myself. Whether they are pleasant or terrible, high-school memories will last a lifetime.

It’s hard to believe that in just a few months I will be done with high school and embarking on a new journey. High school has been a time of growth and discovery for me. I have grown so much as a person over the last four years and I am so grateful for the experiences I have had.

I have made lifelong friends and I have had the opportunity to take part in so many amazing activities. I am sad to be leaving this chapter of my life behind but I am excited for what the future holds. Thank you, High School, for everything.

When I think about the previous three and a half years I spent in Peoria, many life lessons and occurrences come to mind, such as being myself, accepting responsibility, making decisions, and planning for my future. My freshman year of high school was definitely one of my favorite years.

I was finally in high school and starting a new chapter of my life. I was surrounded by so many new people and had the opportunity to make new friends. I also joined the cross country team, which helped me meet even more people. It was a great year overall, and I remember it fondly.

However, sophomore year is when things started to get tough. I began to realize that the decisions I made would have an impact on my future and that I needed to start taking responsibility for myself. This was a lot of pressure for me, and I often felt like I wasn’t doing enough or that I was falling behind. Thankfully, I had a great support system of family and friends who helped me through it.

Looking back, I am grateful for the lessons I learned in high school. They have prepared me for the real world and helped me become the person I am today. I am excited to see what the future holds and how I will continue to grow and change as a person.

I had no idea what was in store for me when I entered high school; everyone in my classes was a person I’d never met before. I was able to start over and create a new image for myself. My fears were mostly rumors that had been going around among my friends and their older siblings. They were mostly just myths.

High school ended up being nothing like I thought it would be. It was a lot more fun and interesting than I ever could have expected. High school gave me the opportunity to meet new people, learn more about myself, and grow as a person.

I will never forget my high school experience, it shaped me into the person I am today. High school taught me how to be independent, how to make new friends, and how to handle difficult situations. High school was a time of growth and self-discovery. I am so grateful for all that high school has done for me.

For example, I was terrified of getting Mr. W as an English instructor because my friends had always spoken about how mean he was and how he would tape up your phone the second he saw it. I was able to avoid him for three of the four English classes I attended before. However, being in his class now isn’t all that terrible. He’s really amusing and a wonderful teacher.

I’ve also had to change the way I study, in high school you could get away with not studying at all and still pass but now if I don’t study I’m going to fail.

All in all, high school has been a great experience for me so far. I’ve made new friends, learned a lot and grown as a person. I’m really looking forward to the next two years.

High school is a time of growth and exploration for many teenagers. It can be a tough adjustment, moving from the comfortable confines of middle school to the often more competitive atmosphere of high school. But it can also be an exciting time, full of new experiences and opportunities.

For me, high school has been both challenging and rewarding. I’ve had to work harder than ever before, both in the classroom and on the sports field. But I’ve also had the chance to meet new people, try new things and learn more about who I am and what I want to do with my life.

Looking back on my high school experience so far, there are a few things that stand out as being particularly important or memorable. One of these is the importance of friendships. In high school, you meet a lot of new people from all different backgrounds. It can be easy to stick with the friends you already know, but it’s also worth taking the time to get to know some new people. I’m glad I did, because I’ve made some great friends that I know I’ll keep in touch with for many years to come.

Another important thing I’ve learned is the importance of taking advantage of opportunities. High school provides you with so many opportunities to try new things and explore your interests. Whether it’s joining a club or team, taking on a leadership role, or simply trying out a new hobby, there are endless possibilities for personal growth. It can be tempting to just stick with what you know, but I’m glad I took the time to step outside my comfort zone and try new things.

I was also afraid that your middle school teachers would constantly tell me, “High school teachers don’t care if you do your work; they won’t go out of their way to assist you or track you down.” I’ve yet to have a teacher who hasn’t cared or helped me in some manner. To be honest, the middle school instructors just tell us this to scare us.

High school is challenging, and you will definitely have to put in the extra effort to succeed. But if you try your best and utilize all of the resources that are available to you, you will be successful.

I am so grateful for my high school experience thus far. I have grown so much as a person and learned so much. High school has truly been a time of self-discovery for me. I am excited to see what the next two years have in store for me!
