Who Am I Essay

Life is a never-ending journey. It’s full of ups and downs, twists and turns. Life is what you make of it. You can either choose to sit back and let it pass you by or you can choose to seize every moment and make the most of it.

I choose to live my life to the fullest. I believe that every day is a new opportunity to learn and grow. I’m constantly seeking out new experiences and challenges. I believe that life is an adventure, and I’m always looking for new ways to add excitement and meaning to my life.

I’m not afraid to take risks. I know that sometimes taking risks can lead to failure, but I also know that without taking risks, we never really have a chance to succeed. I’m always looking for new ways to push myself, both physically and mentally. I believe that life is about growth, and I’m always striving to become the best version of myself.

I value relationships and connection. I believe that we are all connected, and that our interactions with each other have the power to shape our lives. I strive to create meaningful connections with the people in my life, and I believe that communication and compassion are essential to creating strong bonds.

I’m passionate about making a difference. I believe that we all have the power to make a positive impact on the world, and I strive to use my talents and abilities to make a difference in whatever way I can. Whether it’s through my work, volunteering, or simply being a good friend, I believe that we all have the ability to make a difference in the lives of others.

I am constantly learning and evolving. I believe that life is a never-ending process of growth and discovery. I’m always learning new things about myself and the world around me. I’m open to change and willing to grow in whatever direction life takes me.

You are what you are, right? Have you ever heard of people who believe they live in this world in different personalities? You’re known as the one who enjoys discussing everything but girl topics in one location. You’d become the one to start up a conversation about these “girl stuffs” later on in another setting. People know you as someone who is extremely conservative and doesn’t speak much in one place.

But then in another place you’re the one who can’t seem to stop talking. You’re different in every single group of people you belong with, and that my friend is what we called persona.

A persona is a social role or a character played by an actor. In simple words, it is just like how an actor would play a role in a movie. They would have to act according to the script given, and they would have to become that character for the duration of the movie. However, unlike an actor who could simply stop being that character after the movie is over, we as human beings tend to get too comfortable with our persona that we start to believe that we really are that person.

There have been countless studies conducted to observe the effects of persona on human beings. And it has been proven that too much attachment to one’s persona could lead to detrimental consequences. One of which is losing sight of who we really are.

So the question now is, who am I?

The answer is quite simple actually. You are the sum total of your experiences, your thoughts, and your emotions. You are what you have been through in life, and how you choose to react to those experiences. You are what you think, and how you feel about those thoughts.

But in another reality you’re characterized as someone who will do anything you want and isn’t concerned about what others may think of you. It’s somewhat strange, but that’s how I see myself. I don’t believe I’m schizophrenic; it’s just that I’m not sure who I am.

In this world, people would say that I am Life. And they would be right, in a sense. But Life is not just one thing – it’s many things. It’s the sum of all our experiences, good and bad. It’s what makes us who we are.

So who am I? I am Life. I am everything and nothing all at the same time. I am an ever-changing mystery, and that’s OK. Because Life is supposed to be a little bit unpredictable. After all, that’s what makes it so interesting!

I’m a master actor—the woman who wears many masks of personalities. I’ve always been a go-with-the-flow type of individual. I’m in agreement with the majority. I allow others to dominate me. In general, I believe that “It’s not too bad; it won’t kill you.” In essence, I typically oblige everyone.

But as I grow older, I began to ask myself, “Is this really who I am? Or is this just a role that I’m playing?”

I started to doubt everything that I know about myself. Who am I really? What do I want in life? What are my passions? What are my skills?

These questions kept running through my mind and I became more and more confused about my identity.

It was like I was living in a world of make-believe. I was pretending to be someone that I’m not. But the truth is, I don’t even know who that person is.

So, I began my journey of self-discovery. I started reading books, listening to podcasts, and attending workshops. And slowly but surely, I started piece together the puzzle that is me.

And you know what? I like the person that I’m becoming. She’s strong, independent, and knows what she wants in life.

Sure, there are still many things that I don’t know about myself. But that’s okay because I’m excited to find out.

So, who am I? I’m a work in progress—a girl on a journey to find herself. And I invite you to join me on this adventure. Who knows, you might just find out who you are too.
